Photodynamic Therapy Study Day

On Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th a group of 16 Italian Head and Neck Surgeons visited Universty College London Hospital to take part in an advanced "Photodynamic Therapy Workshop". This was hosted by Mr Colin Hopper who was greatly assisted by his team of Mr Rishi Bhandari and Mr Waseem Jerjes. We were also fortunate enough to have a great deal of input from Dr Robert Van Veen who presented some of his work on interstitial techniques and treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer. Dr Succo from Piedmont presented a series of his cases.
 
The course consisted of a basic introduction to PDT techniques, interstitial treatment and applications in nodular skin cancer as well as benign disease.
Dinner was held at Vasis restaurant in Fitzrovia and the meeting was sponsored by Braco and arranged by Barbara Castagnete (from Biolitec).
